Individual Psychotherapy

My experience is in serving people from all walks of life by meeting them where they are at in their healing journey. As a transpersonal and social justice oriented therapist, I bridge my clinical work with identity, attachment, and the parts that make up who you are. I work from multiple lenses, including psychodynamic, relational, and holistic trauma-informed care. Individual sessions are 50 minutes and meet over zoom or in-person, with room to be flexible in our scheduling. Areas of focus in individual therapy include:

  • Depression and anxiety, including low self-esteem, overwhelming emotions, suicidality, irritability, anger, shame, or guilt

  • Deepening awareness into your true self and unearthing your life purpose

  • Relationship issues and setting healthy boundaries

  • Substance use

  • Dissociation

  • Spirituality

  • Traumatic experiences and PTSD

  • LGBTQIA, Queer, Trans, and Gender Non-Conforming people. I am experienced in supporting people through the process of gender-confirming medical care and WPATH mental health referrals for surgery.

  • Activists and movement makers struggling with compassion fatigue and burn out.

  • Teen Counseling

Couples & Relationship

Relationships are an important part of our lives and who we are, and at times they can be filled with the kind of strife that has a deep impact on ourselves. In relationship counseling we focus on the meaningful dynamics of the relationship and what they mean to each person. We work from wherever you are in the relationship and move toward secure functioning together. Areas of focus in relationship counseling include:

  • Couples that are negotiating boundaries, whether its opening up or focusing on just the two of youPoly groups

  • Relationships in the midst of gender transition

  • Navigating the world of kink together

  • Reigniting passion and sexual intimacy

  • Recovering from infidelity or broken trust

  • When trauma history impacts your capacity to be there for each other

  • Non-romantic relationships, such as Artistic Collaborators, Bands and Musicians, Business Partners, and Affinity Groups

  • Increasing communication skills to deepen your compassion and connection together

  • Managing difficult emotions with respect and love

Sex Therapy

I believe sexual pleasure and positivity is an important part of life and wellness. My work in sex therapy centers pleasure advocacy, a fundamental part of social liberation by inclusivity and empathetic means. In therapy, we will work to affirm and normalize sexual behavior with empowerment in mind; while also leaving room to empathically challenge our values around sex and sexuality. Areas of focus in sex therapy include:

  • Anxiety around sex

  • Pain during intercourse

  • Non-traditional relationship forms

  • Ethical non-monogamy & polyamory

  • Conflict around porn

  • Learning to orgasm/experience

  • Gender & Sexuality

  • Issues of sexuality & intimacy

  • Sexuality in transition

  • Asexuality & sex aversion

  • “Problematic” sexual behaviors

  • Sexual wellness

  • Sexual abuse & trauma
