Hey, I’m Reed.

I’m a queer and trans therapist working to meet all kinds of folks where they’re at through meaningful, holistic, and trauma-informed care.

Based in Liberation

My practice is based in queer and trans liberation with strong ties to social justice. I am inspired by the work of folx like Alok Vaid-Menon & Roger Kuhn’s, and I am firmly both a therapist and an advocate for the wider community I work with.

My Approach

Trauma-Informed

Trauma is deeply ingrained in who we are and the work we do. With a history of working in sexual violence prevention & advocacy, I weave in models of empowerment, regulation skills, and only work at the speed of my clients, taking as much time as we need to process the deep impact of past trauma.

Holistic Care

I believe in client-centered therapy and can adapt to the needs of the people that I work with. I am well versed in numerous modalities, both with depth and evidence to comprise a practice that can meet you where you are at in your process of healing.

FAQ

  • Therapy is a process of building an emotional container between two people, the therapist and the client. Together we will talk, listen, and sit with emotions as they arise. We may find time to laugh, build rapport, and recognize joy; and we may go into the depths of our past, learn from ourselves, and sit with some tears. Therapy can be a bit uncomfortable at times, but it will always be an empathetically held space for you, the client.

    1. You fill out the contact form.

    2. We set up a brief 10-minute phone call to talk about your reasons for coming to therapy, logistics, and confidentiality.

    3. We begin sessions with where you are at, taking our time with whatever needs attention in the here and now.

  • Therapy sessions are typically once a week for 50-minutes. I do offer the option for extended sessions at a prorated cost, as well as up to 2 sessions per week.

  • My fees are $180 per individual session and $220 for couples, with an additional $20 per person in group relationships.

I do offer a limited number of sliding scale spots for folx who qualify based on income and equitable consideration.

  • I am not taking insurance at this time.

As much as I want to, insurance is a tricky consideration in our practice for reimbursement and diagnostic purposes.

I do offer superbills that can be used in place of insurance to your provider.
